Thank you

We at inSPIRATIVE gallery would like to thank everyone who helped create the Experimental Paint Project. It has been amazing to see so many people come 'make their mark' on the artwork.

We began the art center with the hopes of engaging the community through creative ideas, actions, and events. Through the Experimental Paint Project the inSPIRATIVE gallery director, staff, and participating artists have ecstatically witnessed the fulfillment of our mission. As we move forward in our artistic endeavors, inSPIRATIVE gallery would again like to thank everyone who made this happen.

Experimental Paint Project Opening Nov. 12

Have you ever day dreamed about being an artist with your painting on display art galleries? Here is your chance to enter into the real artworld.

You are invited to be part of the artists featured at the next exhibit at inSPIRATIVE art gallery. Join other artists on Friday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. and be part of the Experimental Paint Project. Featured artists for this exhibit include Amber Bloss, Angela Leed, and YOU.

Experimental Paint Project is a collaborative show with a radical twist. Chicago artist, Amber Bloss has been working with artist and inSPIRATIVE gallery director, Angela Leed to create twenty, 8"x8" paintings on wood panel. Every weekend since summer 2010 the work is shipped back and forth from Chicago to Plymouth and vice versa. Each artist works independently on the painting. The collaborators do not see each others work until upon return of the work. Now during the month of November it is the public's turn!

Each work will be hung at the inSPIRATIVE gallery next to a drawing/painting tool. The painting will not be complete until conclusion of the show in December. Three works have already been donated and auctioned at the 2010 Ounce of Prevention, MargariTATAville Party that was held Saturday, October 2nd at Plymouth Country Club.

Amber Bloss is a Chicago based artist who began her career with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She now runs the very successful decorative paint company, Amber Bloss Studios.

Angela Leed is an internationally recognized artist and has shown in the E.U., New York, and Chicago. She is currently working on the series "Manufactured Community", sponsored in part by an Individual Artist Grant by the Indiana Arts Commission. Future exhibitions include an additional collaborative exhibition at the Langlab in South Bend, IN. For more information visit www.angelaleed.com.

New Exhibit: Rococomance

Rococomance is a new show by South Bend artist, Christopher Stackowicz. On display are 15 new oil paintings combining the dreamy, wispy world of the rococo with female home improvement models of the 1960's. The paintings express the struggles fathers face in raising daughters; how does one reconcile the princess aesthetic with the harsh realities of the mundane?

Rococomance will be on exhibit at inSPIRATIVE art center from opening night on Saturday, September 11 through October 2. The public is welcome to attend the opening night of this show. Doors open at 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

For more information, please contact Angela Leed, gallery director at 574.780.1024.
