susPENded Exhibit In Review

Friday night in downtown Plymouth was unseasonably warm. People of all ages were walking along the sidewalks and perusing through the galleries at Heartland Artists Gallery's reception for the student exhibit and inSPRIATIVE's opening night of susPENded. Opened doors welcomed the public for a preview of the opening and a glance at Day O'Day's dance class. By 8:00 p.m. tickets were sold at the door and live musical performances by Etna Green and Darkroom rocked the house. Food by Sisters' Tea & Eatery and wine bar by Culver Coffee Company were available to guests.

Stay tuned for the next musical event scheduled at the inSPIRATIVE art center on Saturday night, March 27th.

The suspended art pieces by Sayka Ganz were a flying hit and crowd-pleaser in addition to the pieces by Angela Leed and Adam Parson. Gallery is open to the public during regular business hours Tuesday - Friday and Saturday mornings. susPENded exhibit runs through April 5th.

I "Heart" Art

Do you have a heart for the arts? Then downtown Plymouth has a lot to offer you!

Friday, March 12th at 6 p.m., the Heartland Artists Gallery is inviting the public to an opening reception of student art work. In honor of Youth Art month, the exhibit is coordinated by art teachers Vickie Cook, Judy Harness and Toni Trump and includes artwork by elementary students from Washington, Menominee, Jefferson, Webster, and St. Michael's Elementary Schools in Plymouth. Check out the gallery's new makeover!

Guests will not have to walk far to the inSPIRATIVE art center where they can experience another art exhibit titled, "susPENded." This month's inSPIRATIVE art center opening begins Friday night at 7:00. Live music will be from 8 - 10:00 p.m. Featured artists include Sayaka Ganz, Angela Leed and Adam Parsons. Live music by Etna Green and Darkroom. Food by Sisters' Tea & Eatery will be available and special wine service will be provided by The Culver Coffee Company.

This is a one of a kind event that you will not want to miss! Come see "what" and who's hanging around downtown Plymouth. Watch out for the giant penguins that are flying in from above. Show your support for the arts. Join us Friday night. Tickets available at the door, $5.

Youth Art Month (YAM) is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of art education for all students and to encourage support for quality school art programs. YAM is in virtually every state, in many communities, in schools, libraries, stores, and other places. Anyone can start an observance--an art educator, a parent, a librarian, a youth organization leader, a businessperson, a student--anyone who has a genuine concern for quality art programs and who is willing to work with others in the school system or community. The observance may be small or large, and may range from a single exhibit to a community-wide or statewide project; in fact, the Art Education Association of Indiana sponsors a statewide display in Indianapolis!

We love the arts!

Upcoming Artist Debuts on Bonnie Hunt Show

inSPIRATIVE art center is pleased to announce artist Sayaka Ganz's debut on the Bonnie Hunt Show, nationally aired February 25th. To watch the clip, you may click here >> (it is about at the 4 minute marker of the 6 minute segment.)

Bonnie shares some photos of Sayaka's artwork with the audience and is clearly impressed with her use of used materials. Below is a photo of an eagle, one of Sayaka's suspended sculptures made from reclaimed objects such as kitchen utensils that Bonnie shared as the crowed ooo'd and awed.

We are excited about this artist's work coming to the inSPIRATIVE art gallery on March 12th. Opening night of this exhibit, "Suspended" will include an evening filled with art and live music, food and wine services. Doors open at 7, music begins at 8 - 10 p.m. Come for the art, stay for the music! Tickets available at the door for $5.

Other artists, both visual and musical will be featured during this evening. Stay tuned for more details!
